Presidents Message

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the KHNA, I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.

Let me thank each and every one who successfully conducted the previous conventions and made an awareness of Hindu Unity and awakening among Malayali Hindus. Since the last convention, the Trustee Board and the Director Board have met and chalked out plans for the future course of KHNA.

Kerala Hindus all over world are looking forward to the next convention in New York. Slowly but steadily, we are working on this task. An initial convention committee is already formed. The venue for the convention will be finalized soon. At the same time we dont want the KHNA to be just a convention oriented body. We need to implement various service oriented projects, scholarships and endowments, and regular chapters providing religious and cultural education.

We already handed over 10 houses built as part of Tsunami Relief efforts.Second installment of our donation was handed over to Sevabharathi on the first Anniversary of Tsunami by our Joint Secretary.

Thanksgiving Seva program organized by the Youth Forum in NY is applauded by friends all over world. Our Youth Forum has already planned more service activities. I request all of you from various states to take part in local service activities and send in the information to our webmaster.

KHNA womens forum is planning to hold Mathru Sangamams during Mothers day weekend. We want to see more women participation in all our events.

Our web site, http://www.Namaha.org has a new look and feel, and is serving as a great source of information. Please visit our site at least once a week and provide your feed back. Please provide write-ups and pictures from various activities you undertake in your area and from Kerala, so that we can publish on our site.

Kudos and congrats to Kerala Hindus of North America (KHNA) for their yeoman services in their Karmabhoomi, i.e. the USA! We have to be proud of an organization like KHNA for the efforts being made to mould a new generation well aware of their culture, heritage, values of life and their duties and responsibilities towards the country which offers them all material comforts and sky-high opportunities. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- NFW
