KHNA Kerala Scholarships Program Update: With the enthusiasic support of our community, we are continuing the program to support poor Hindu students for higher education in Kerala. Each scholarship is usually $250 per year. Thanks to the success in the past years, we have received twice the number of applications this year (nearly 1000!). KHNA requests everybody to get behind our "One family, One scholarship" motto for fundraising. Please see our website for this program, www.khnascholarships.org for more info and the details from the past years and to offer your financial support by sponsoring a student. The topic for student essays this year was: "Casteless Society: Can Sree Narayana Guru’s vision be realized?". Selected essays from these brilliant students are being posted at the Scholarship Program Discussion Forum that KHNA has set up recently. Please take a look at the forum and we hope your genrous support for the program will continue.

Please visit the site and enjoy clips of speeches by eminent invitees like Dr. N. From the Editors' desk - You can expect the next mail from the Anjali magazine team in April. Meanwhile, to read the entire 80-page magazine from last October, online at our website (click on the Anjali button). Or please click on the picture here! If you would like to advertize to nearly 3000 families around the country through the next mailing, or would like to help the free magazine project with a complimentary ad, please contact us. Support from you is always welcome, as the advertising revenues have gone down with the economic downturn, and we are working hard to keep the magazine project financially self-sustaining! Thank you!

Kandu kandangirikkum janangale,

For the simplicty of language that still brings out the enormous depth of Hindu philosophy, there is surely no Malayalam poetic work that is better than the emotional outpouring from Poonthanam in Jnanappaana. No explanation is needed for all of you to understand and enjoy the great work. Here we provide a link to an online page with the unforgettable rendering of Jnanappana by Smt. P. Leela, to music set by Sri Dakshinamoorthy, that many of you have surely heard at some point in your life. Please listen, enjoy, and spend a moment contemplating the eternal truths Jnanappana provides. You can find the lines in english at the Jananappana wiki page.
