KHNA 2009 Convention Raffle Fundraising Inaugurated

Los Angeles, April 10, 2009: KHNA officially inaugurated the coordinated fundraising through the raffle being held at the upcoming Los Angeles convention as KHNA's middle east representative, Sri Suresh B. Nair accepted a consignment of raffle tickets on behalf of the well-wishers in the Gulf region, from President Dr. Ramadas Pillai. The large scale national fundraising is aimed towards helping the convention program as well as several charitable activities such as the ongoing Kerala student scholarship programs and the planned Orphanage help program that KHNA supports. Each ticket costs $100 and is for $10,000 cash as first prize, $5000 Jewellery as 2nd prize, Laptop PCs as five 3rd prizes and GPS units as 10 fourth prizes.

"It is important for even those of us who may be unable to attend the convention, to offer generous support for the important activities of KHNA. The impressive prizes of the raffle are a nice incentive for the community to buy the tickets. Malayalis such as myself in the Gulf are only glad to help with our financial support," said Sri. Suresh Nair, who is on a business visit to the USA from Muscat, Oman.

KHNA Director and the Chairman of the fundraising raffle committee, Sri. Baburaj Dharan, speaks of the unique new method of charitable fundraising that KHNA is introducing with this raffle. "The raffle fundraising is towards all KHNA activities, and only a portion of the proceeds are meant for convention expenses and KHNA's Los Angeles projects," he said.
