Los Angeles, Nov 7, 2008: KHNA released a statement to the press about the historic win of Mr. Barack Obama
in the latest presidential elections in the USA. "Mr. Obama represents the voice of hope for those who were oppresed
for centuries. Overcoming prejudices, people have validated his capabilities and achievements," said KHNA
president Dr. Ramadas Pillai (Murrieta, California). "President-elect Obama's win also provides opportunities for
Indian-Americans to be more active in public service in the USA," said Sri. T. N. Nair (Dallas, Texas), Chairman of
the KHNA Trustees. "KHNA offers all help and cooperation to Mr. Obama for friendly relations with India and all
minorities in general. All the best wishes of the continent's Malayali Hindu community are with the new US president
