PORTLAND

"KHNA Secretary Vinodh Bahuleyan and Trustee R. Jayakrishnan visited Portland, OR, for the very first KHNA meeting in that city, on Nov 4th, 2007.  The two hour meeting was hosted by Mini and Jayaraj, and was attended by nearly 20 people.  The informal discussions started with a prayer, and included video presentations of the highlights of the last two conventions, as well as discussions of KHNA's upcoming 2008 activities and the 2009 convention.   The Portland hindu malayali community, which organizes several cultural and artistic events along with organizations such as SWORAM (Southwest Washington and Oregon Association of Malayalees) are also active in spiritual work through the local Chinmaya Mission center.  KHNA expresses our gratitude for the hospitality from the Portland(OR)-Vancouver(WA) community and it is heartening to see the enthusiasm from everybody towards all the KHNA activities"
