You can help a student by offering a scholarship for the entire duration of the course or by providing one-time assistance.

Sponsor a Scholarship
KHNA Scholarships are $250 per year given for the entire duration of the course up to a maximum of four years (ie.$1000 per student). Sponsors do not have to donate the entire amount initially. They can donate $250 each year for each student they agree to sponsor. Sponsored scholarships can be named as a "Memorial Scholarship" in memory of a loved one. Each Memorial Scholarship may also have a profile page at the site.

To sponsor a scholarship, as the first step please make a donation of $250 to the scholarship fund. Once the donation is received, KHNA will send you a list of eligible students and you can select a student for your sponsorship. The student selected by you will be provided with the scholarship award at a function organized by KHNA in Kerala or the scholarship check may be mailed directly to the student. Students are required to communicate with their sponsors about the progress of their studies and send a renewal application each year directly to the sponsor. When the renewal application is received you may decide whether to renew the scholarship and send the renewal check ($250) to KHNA. The renewal amount will be given to the student by KHNA. If you are unable to renew the scholarship to an eligible student for any reason, KHNA Scholarship Committee would try to find an alternate sponsor for the remaining course duration.

Make a One-time Donation
You may make a donation to the scholarship fund any time for any amount you may wish. KHNA will award one-time financial assistances to eligible students out of the general scholarship donations received. Amount of the financial assistance will be determined by the scholarship committee depending on the donations raised and the financial need of the student.

You do not have to be a member of kHNA to participate in this program. Any one from any part of the world may sponsor scholarships or make donations to the scholarship fund. In fact the biggest challenge this program faces is the lack of sufficient participation from the Kerala Hindu community members. As a result we are not able to help many eligible students.
